In recent years, Qatar plans to invest $45 billion in the tourism sector and increase tourist numbers to 10 million visitors per annum by 2030. Unfortunately, Qatar blockade had negatively impacted main tourism markets from Arab nations, resulting in a 38% decline in Qatar's total tourist number. The research aims to develop a model to identify the potential tourist markets for diversification. It also analyses and quantifies the direct, indirect and dynamic effects of tourism to other sectors in the presence of blockade.
