Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Strategic Partnerships), Professor Cobie Rudd today celebrated International Women’s Day 2019 with ECU’s Women Community, a subcommittee of the ECU Student Guild. The on-campus equity club is a support network for female identifying students who both advocate for the rights and wellbeing of women on campus and run campaigns to raise awareness.
In line with the International Women’s Day theme – ‘Balance for Better’ and the Australian theme – ‘More Powerful Together’, Professor Rudd highlighted ECU's fundamental values and noted the importance of everyone’s part in calling out the absence of balance so that collectively society can work together to achieve gender equality.
