Children's University members learning the importance of Gut Health and participating in the Blue Poop Challenge.
The curiosity and energy of our young Children's University (CU) learners were brought to life as they visited the ECU Joondalup, Mount Lawley, and South West campuses and eagerly participated in an assortment of fun, hands-on workshops. fun and learning had by everyone, young and old!
Over 150 children and their families representing 18 schools from Perth and the South West visited the ECU Joondalup, Mount Lawley, and Bunbury campuses. Some learnt how to ‘Be Internet Awesome’ and cyber-safe by playing fun adventure-packed online games. During the Feeding Frenzy workshops families played a fast, wild game of chasey survival to explore food webs and the importance of ecosystem balance. The Gut Health and Blue Poop Challenge blew their minds and turned their stomachs as they discovered facts about their digestive system and how to maintain a healthy gut!
Special thanks to ECU Academics and students across the School of Education, the School of Science and the School of Medical Health Science who delivered the workshops and helped to make this program a success!
