Professor Caroline Mansfield

Professor Caroline Mansfield is the Executive Dean of the School of Education.

Background

Prior to joining ECU, Caroline was Executive Dean of the Faculty of Education, Philosophy and Theology  (2021 - 2022) and Dean of the School of Education (2019 - 2020) at the University of Notre Dame Australia. From 2005 - 2018 Caroline held teaching, research and leadership roles at Murdoch University after a decade of secondary school teaching.

Caroline has an international research profile in the field of teacher resilience and wellbeing. She has led several externally funded research projects and her research findings have been translated into online resources that have had positive impact for pre-service and practicing teachers' wellbeing in Australia and overseas. Winning an Australian Learning and Teaching Fellowship in 2016, Caroline has led local and national teams to drive innovation in higher education curriculum and deliver positive student experience.

Caroline Mansfield is an ECU alumnus, completing her PhD in 2002. She represents Western Australian Deans of Education on the Australian Council of Deans of Education Board.
