Dr Madeleine Erskine

Madeleine is the Primary Professional Practice Coordinator and coordinates the Positive Learning Environment units in the undergraduate and post graduate education courses in the School of Education.

Background

Madeleine has extensive teaching experience in the primary, secondary, and tertiary sectors in the UK and in Australia. Additionally, she has worked for the Department of Education writing policy guidelines for principals with EAL/D students. Coming from a background in psychology and education, she is passionate about the wellbeing of teachers and students. With an interest in teacher directed violence, Madeleine continues to research teachers' experiences of violence in the classroom aiming to explore how these experiences impact turnover and attrition.
