Web of Science is a multidisciplinary abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature, which translates to powerful and effective search options when you are looking for information.

It provides both author and journal metrics (performance analytics) of the literature indexed in the database.

Search results can be refined to suit your individual needs as well as to track your citations.

What makes Web of Science so essential to your studies - in addition to its content - are its unique features and great website accessibility.

Unique features include:

  • quick filter icons
  • journal impact factors
  • ‘analyse results’: sorts search results into a visualisation, chart or both
  • citation reports

Web content format and accessibility features include:

  • accessible in most browsers
  • colour enhancement on search hits, bolded active fields, high contrast interface
  • closed captions provided, including on video content
  • zoom of up to 200% without requiring assistive technology

Web of Science is one of the largest international citation databases and is easy to use, featuring an engaging interface.
