The ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) Digital Library is a database platform offering:

  • The full-text collection of all ACM publications, including journals, conference proceedings, technical magazines, and books.
  • The ACM Guide to Computing Literature: a comprehensive bibliographic database focused exclusively on the field of computing.

This information about the database and more is available on the ACM platform.

For some publications in the ACM Guide to Computing Literature, only citations, indexing, and abstracts are available.

The following accessibility features are available:

  • All text on the platform meets the minimum recommended contrast ratios against the background. Text can be resized to help readability. Browser extensions can also be used.
  • All content can be copied and pasted into a text-to-speech tool.
  • Navigational images and icons, as well as many images in the content itself, contain useful alternative text. When alt text and long descriptions are available in the content, these are rendered in the interface.
  • ACM Digital Library has been built using code compliant with W3C standards for HTML and CSS.
  • A statement about accessibility and itemised accessibility features can be found on the ACM platform, once logged in.

All ECU staff and students have access to ACM Digital Library.
