The new SW Library Wellbeing Space officially launched during South West Campus Wellbeing Week.
The South West Library Wellbeing Space officially launched on Monday 11 May, during SW Campus Wellbeing Week.
The new space gives students a dedicated area within the Library to relax, unwind and connect with others between classes and study sessions.
Students attending the launch were able to explore the space, enjoy morning tea and meet Harper the wellness dog. Cobie Rudd, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Regional Futures), also attended the event.
The wellbeing space includes activities and resources designed to support student wellbeing and create a sense of belonging on campus, including jigsaw puzzles, games, books, knitting and crochet supplies, and mindfulness activities.
The initiative builds on the success of the wellbeing space at Joondalup Campus and responds directly to feedback from last year’s Sense of Belonging survey, where students identified wellbeing spaces across all campuses as a valuable way to support connection and community.
The Office of Regional Futures helped lead the week-long wellbeing program and contributed activities and books to the wellbeing space. They also provided morning tea for the launch event.
