Children's University participants took the roles of counsel, witnesses and jury in a mock trial as part of a Children's University holiday program
The Children’s University (CU) September School Holiday Program at Edith Cowan University (ECU) offered another fun and engaging learning journey experience for its members. Exploring the world of coding and robotics, learning about volcanoes through science experimentation, visiting ECU’s Moot Court and experiencing the potential careers in law and engineering were offered.
Across two days the Children’s University team partnered with ECU’s School of Business and Law, School of Engineering and School of Education to offer over 70 young CU participants and family members a range of educational, fun and hands-on workshops during the September School Holiday Program, at the Joondalup and Mount Lawley campuses.
The Children’s University WA Partnership team at ECU were delighted to also partner with a quality Learning Destinations; Australian Earth Science Education (AusEarthEd) to deliver “Volcanic Eruptions” workshops.
CU School holiday programs aim to foster a love of learning, nurture aspirations and encourage children to discover new passions. Here is what some of our CU families had to say:
“As always CU at ECU and the AusEarthEd team were amazing and engaging”.
“It was amazing for my child to experience university”.
“I really enjoyed watching my child learn something new”.
A massive thank you to the presenters for generously offering Children's University their time and expertise to give our CU families fantastic learning opportunities here at ECU.
