Project title:

  • How educational leaders empower teachers to consider local culture when delivering imported curricula

Supervisors:

  • Associate Professor Glenda Campbell-Evans
  • Dr Michelle Striepe

Summary of thesis:

As one of the fastest growing sectors of education in China, international education is an area that cannot be ignored. Within this are a number of imported curricula, including curriculum from the USA, UK, and the internationally recognized International Baccalaureate. With this in mind, this research will explore how international schools in China are considering the diversity of their local culture while delivering these imported curricula.
