Supervisors:

  • Professor Dawn Penney
  • Dr John O'Rourke

Summary of thesis:

Secondary schooling is a complex environment for students with autism with frequent transition, different subject teachers, varied student compositions, and unstructured time during school days. This qualitative interpretive inquiry explores collaborative communication between stakeholders supporting autistic secondary school students, via focus group discussions of homogenous stakeholders in addition to an exploration of two case-study secondary schools supporting students with autism.
