  • The phenomenological study of caregivers of gifted children with dyslexia

Summary of thesis:

This research intends to study the lived experience of primary carers of children who are gifted and have dyslexia. A phenomenological research methodology underpins this research and will be used as both the theoretical framework as well as method for this study. Through this study, educators, school administrators, practitioners as well as policy makers can gain a better insight into the identification of these gifted/dyslexic students and provide better support for them in schools.
