  • System leadership and educational disadvantage in Australia and Sweden

Summary of thesis:

Since the beginning of the 21st Century, amid several system level reform efforts, academic performance in Australia and Sweden has declined and the gap between advantaged and disadvantaged learners has widened. Disadvantage in education sees the development of societal status hierarchies and unjust participatory parity for particular social groups. My research seeks to investigate educational leadership at the system level in terms of its ability to positively affect social justice issues.
