  • Investigating Multigrade teaching (MGT) and learning practices in Maldives: Developing a framework for MGT

Summary of thesis:

The proposed study will examine how MGT is operationalized in Republic of Maldives and develop a suitable MGT framework to support teaching in MGT classes. The study will utilise constructivism as the preferred paradigm and examine multiple case studies as the method for collecting data. The results from this study will assist to develop intervention programs for MGT, devise evidence-based policies and action plans for improving the overall quality of MGT and particularly teaching strategies of MGT classes.
