Summary of thesis:

This thesis explores the enactment of Assessment for Learning (AfL) by early-career teachers in Western Australian secondary schools and across several learning areas. The research utilised theories of policy enactment and the development of assessment literacy. Data collection was conducted over 15-months and involved in-depth case studies with 4 early-career teachers currently teaching in WA schools. The thesis reports on each teacher's enactment of assessment policy and the contextual factors which influenced their use of AfL.
