Some Read and Publish Agreement capped numbers will soon be exhausted.
During 2023 ECU Library administered Read & Publish Agreements providing ECU researchers the opportunity to publish open access, on acceptance, with no article processing fee (APC).
Some publishers allowed only a capped number of articles to be published under these agreements. It is anticipated the cap for both Springer Nature and Wiley Publishing will expire very soon.
If you've submitted an article to a journal on the Springer or Wiley lists and it is accepted after expiry of the cap you will be notified by the publisher. If you do not wish to pay the APC you may choose to publish behind the paywall and provide a copy of the Author’s Accepted Manuscript (AAM) to be included in Research Online, ECU’s institutional repository.
Cap numbers for each agreement will reset 1 January 2024.
Please find information online at Research Companion- Read & Publish Agreements.
The dashboard available shows the current usage of each cap and gives authors a search interface across all agreements by FoR code or description.
