Our continued engagement with EBA programs strengthens the customised and data-driven aspects of Library Collections.

Elsevier’s EBA program provides access to its current and legacy eBook Collection content, available on ScienceDirect.

Explore resources authored by experts in the field, spanning:

  • physical sciences and engineering
  • life sciences
  • health sciences
  • social sciences and humanities

Enjoy ScienceDirect’s customisable features that make searching simple.

Browse by topic

Did you know there’s an easy way to search in ScienceDirect?

All you need to do is login and scroll down to ‘Explore ScienceDirect’, and select ‘browse by topic’.

That will take you to the ScienceDirect topics page, where content is conveniently categorised into sections according to – you guessed it – topic.

The topics are broad, so once you click through there’s a wonderful feature to help you skim the content: a comprehensive list of concepts, terms and keywords representing sub-topics you can further click through.

Relevant abstracts are generated when you click a keyword, so that you can skim research that may be useful for your project, with current and legacy eBook content access now enabled.

The keyword list is incredibly detailed, catering to niche and thorough searches.

This elegant feature is time-saving, enjoyable to use, and relevant to those getting started, and those getting specific.

Our participation in this particular EBA program commenced in October 2023.

eBooks can be conveniently accessed and are largely interoperable; designed to make it easy to slot them into Reading Lists, for example.
